Tournament Rules

Server:

The server is by default Singapore. This can be, however, be changed if both teams agree to it.

Failure to appear / No show:

Each team has 15 minutes to show up to a match. (Stated time for each round +15 minutes). Showing up after 15 minutes results in a default loss. The team that is waiting must communicate with the Admin in order to get a default win.

Game Mode (Best of 1):

The lobby setting for starting team will be set to “Auto flip”.

Game Mode (Best of 3):

The team from the upper bracket is radiant on the first game and gets to pick the drafting order. On the second game, it's the reverse. On the third game, the team from the upper bracket chooses the side, the other team chooses the drafting order.

Participants & Teams:

Every real person - unless officially banned - with a valid steam account is allowed to participate in the competition and will be called "participant" in the following. Participants joining a team in order to fulfill the minimum required amount of team members will be called a "team" in the following.

Player Change/Stand-ins:

The use of stand-ins are allowed. A stand-in may not be member of another team or have played a game for another team within the same or a higher stage of the competition. You are not allowed to change a player after the start of a match.

Line-up Info:

All teams have to provide the administration the following information upon request:

  • Full names of team members

  • Steam account of all members

  • Identity of the captain

  • Discord ID of the captain

Disconnects & Reconnects:

If a player disconnects, the game is to be paused instantly. Each team has up to ten minutes to reconnect to the game. If this time is passed, the opposing team may continue the game, unless an admin demands the opposite. The affected player is in this case still allowed to rejoin later on.

Bugs:

If any serious bugs occur, the game has to be paused immediately and the administration decides how to continue. Knowingly abusing a bug is strictly forbidden.

Pause Rule:

It is forbidden to pause a game for no reason. After you pause a game you must say in all chat the reason of the pause. In the same game, the total pause time can't be longer than 10 minutes (if a team pause the game for 3 minutes and later pause it again for 7, they can't pause anymore, unless the opponents agree with it).

  • If the full team is disconnected, the enemy team must pause the game.

  • Unpausing a game is only allowed if both teams agree to it in all chat or a pause lasted longer than 10 minutes and no further agreements were made.

  • Abuse of the pause will lead to a disqualification. Screenshots of proof and a demo must be provided to the admin.

Ending:

Screenshot is required for the validation of whichever team wins. A game is finished, when an Ancient Fortress is destroyed, when the majority of a team leaves on purpose, or when the administration decides on it. (Note: A game is not forfeited, when a player types "gg”. Game is only over when the ancient is destroyed after countdown.

Remake:

All remakes will be done through the All Pick Mode, picking the same heroes. In case of technical issues (eg: failure to load, new patch or bugs), screen shot is required for justification and an admin will make the call before remaking the game. There is no remake after the first rune has been spawned or first blood is dealt unless both team drops from the server at the same time and no one can rejoin the server.

Broadcasting

The players are not allowed to watch or listen to any of these video streams or DotaTV at any time during their match. Furthermore they are not allowed to provide a stream themselves, unless there is no official broadcaster inside the game.
